I am<\/strong> a freelance scientist and R&D consultant specialising in bioprocess development and scale-up in the industrial biotechnology sector. I help organisations turn ideas into robust, scalable processes.<\/p>\n

My work<\/strong> spans early\u2011phase concept development through process development, pilot scale\u2011up, and technology transfer to manufacturing. I work alongside laboratory teams and management to maximize first-time right outcomes, reduce technical uncertainty, and support data-driven decision-making.<\/p>\n

I bring<\/strong> more than 25 years of experience in industrial R&D, working on a wide range of fermentation\u2011based processes for industrial enzymes, biochemicals, and food ingredients. My background covers genetics, enzymology, fermentation, and bioprocess technology. I have worked with a broad range of microbial hosts, including yeasts, bacteria and fungi, and have developed processes using fed\u2011batch, chemostat, and ISPR reactors for extractive and cell\u2011retention\u2011based production systems.<\/p>\n

I’m known for<\/strong> combining deep technical expertise with structured project execution. I apply strong project management principles, supported by PMP certification, to help teams plan effectively, manage risk, and maintain momentum through complex R&D and scale\u2011up phases. Data quality and FAIR data principles are central to my way of working, with strong emphasis on robust data analysis and effective communication throughout the development process.<\/p>\n

I work with<\/strong> start\u2011ups, scale\u2011ups, and established organisations across Europe and beyond.
